Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Note: this policy is written in plain language and should be reviewed by a qualified Malaysian privacy professional (PDPA 2010) before being relied on as a compliance statement.

This Privacy Policy describes how AskHenry (operated by Tan Thin Sheng, licensed estate agent under AskHenry) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit www.askhenry.site.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information when you enquire through our website: your name, phone number, email address, property preferences and communication records via WhatsApp or email.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to respond to your property enquiries, provide property recommendations relevant to your needs, and send updates on new property launches only with your consent.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. Information may be shared with property developers only as necessary to facilitate your enquiry, and only with your consent.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

5. Cookies

We use a small amount of browser storage to keep the website working and, with your permission, to remember your property preferences (recently viewed projects, comparisons, matcher progress, language). With your consent, we also use third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and marketing tools (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and the OpenAI ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel); none of these load until you switch on the matching category in our consent settings. AskHenry does not manually send raw names, email addresses or phone numbers to OpenAI for advertising measurement. OpenAI’s measurement pixel may automatically detect supported customer information entered into recognised forms on our website; where this occurs, the information is normalised and securely hashed in the browser before being sent to OpenAI. Raw customer information is not sent through this automatic matching process. Full details, including every storage item and its retention period, are in our Cookie & Browser Storage Policy.

You can change your choices or clear your stored preferences at any time via the Cookie & Privacy Settings link in the footer of every page.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by us. Please contact us at henry@askhenry.site.

7. Google Search Console Data

AskHenry uses an internal tool, the AskHenry SEO Intelligence Agent (“ASIA”), to review how our own website, https://www.askhenry.site/, performs in Google Search. With the permission of the website owner’s Google account, ASIA connects to Google Search Console with read-only access (Google’s “View Search Console data for your verified sites” permission). This access cannot change any Search Console setting or anything on our website, and it does not give access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or any other Google service.

What we collect. The list of Search Console properties the account can access (used only to select https://www.askhenry.site), and the search performance data Google reports for our website: dates, page addresses on https://www.askhenry.site, the search queries for which those pages appeared, and the number of clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position. Google provides this data in aggregated form; it does not identify the individual people who searched.

How we use it. Only to prepare internal reports that help us improve the content and technical quality of our own website, for example pages that rank just outside the top search results or whose search impressions have fallen. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to build profiles of individuals.

Automated processing and AI. ASIA currently analyses Search Console data with fixed, rule-based software and does not send it to artificial-intelligence (AI) models. If we introduce AI-assisted analysis, we will update this policy before doing so. We will not use data received from Google APIs to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.

Where it is stored. In AskHenry’s private database with our web hosting provider, Hostinger, and in backups of that database: our own daily backups, which are replaced on a rolling basis after about two weeks, and Hostinger’s standard account backups, which are replaced on Hostinger’s own schedule. The database is not publicly accessible, and reports based on the data can only be viewed through a password-protected administration page.

Sharing. We do not sell Search Console data or share it with third parties, except with service providers that host and operate our systems on our behalf (currently our hosting provider), or where required by law.

Credential security. We do not store the Google account’s password, and no Google service-account key is used. The permission granted to ASIA is stored as a revocable authorisation in a file that is readable only by our hosting account and is kept outside the public website folder. It is never included in reports or logs.

Retention and deletion. Search Console data is kept for as long as it is useful for comparing our website’s search performance over time. It is not currently deleted automatically. We can delete it on request; copies that remain in backups are removed as those backups are replaced.

Revoking access. The Google account owner can withdraw ASIA’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After that, ASIA can no longer retrieve data from Search Console. To ask us to delete data already collected, contact henry@askhenry.site.

Google API Services User Data Policy. AskHenry’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
